Elizabeth Reimer was at the forefront of Jewellery design in Australia establishing her design and manufacture business in Sydney in the 1950's.  
Born in Hungary into a family of silversmiths and jewellers Elizabeth honed her skills in the family business, studied at the Budapest Academy of Art and the Manchester School Art. In the late 1930s she and her husband, Josef moved to Australia.
This lovely gold metal brooch is signed on the back and has the design number 860. Measuring 6.5 cm x 3cm, the knotted deign is reminiscent of wings and would be a great addition to any collection.
